Yes, you can! In fact, it is best to see your dentist every 6 months for a check-up and clean, and it is NEVER too late to go. It is true, if you have not been seeing a dentist AND you have not been taking care of your teeth, work may need to be done. Yes! Every day we have blocks of time set aside for emergency appointments. We recommend you call us at 8 am in the morning and we will try our best to offer you an emergency appointment on the same day.
If you call in the morning - 8am is usually the best time to get an emergency appointment – we will get you in to see a dentist at the earliest available time. If you call after hours, we do have voicemail, and we can ring you back in the morning to arrange an appoint with you. We recommend you call us at 8 am in the morning and we will try our best to offer you an emergency appointment on the same day. You can also book appointments online with us.
It depends on the procedure, but generally, a check-up and clean will take between 30 and 45 minutes. An emergency appointment could last up to 60 minutes.
If it is your first time at the practice , we always recommend you arriving 10 minutes early for your appointment so you can fill out your details and relevant medical history. If you have private health insurance, we recommend you bringing that along for the appointment.
The cost of an appointment varies depending on the treatment required, however, we do provide general costs here (this is a link to our price list).
Currently, we do not have any offers. But we do accept patients with Child Dental benefit Scheme (CDBS) and Department of Veterans' Affairs card.
We accept all private health insurance cards. We usually swipe your health fund card and you pay the gap. and can provide a payment plan, if you decide that is a way you would like to pay. We also offer buy now, pay later plans such as AfterPay, Denticare and Zip Money.
We offer a payment plan called DentiCare, which has 2 tiers of repayment, depending on the amount of the prescribed treatment. We also offer “buy now, pay later” plans through AfterPay and Zip money. Alice Dental Associates offers custom made bleaching trays which you can take home. The benefit of take-home trays is you can continue to whiten your teeth within the comforts of your home until you are satisfied with the outcome.
Even though we do not offer sedation for extractions, we offer other solutions that can make your experience comfortable. You are welcome to book an appointment with one of our experienced dentists to discuss your concerns of having an in-chair extraction. These solutions work with all tooth extraction, to include wisdom teeth.
Alice Dental Associates has been serving Alice Springs patients for nearly 30 years, with Dr. Alison Wissman as the principal dentist for 27 of those years.
