Nevene has been a dentist for well over 34 years now!

Since graduating in 1991 from the University of Western Australia, he has been fortunate to have owned and run two extremely busy dental practices in rural W.A., also having worked in Alice Springs since 2016.

He is now extremely proud to have taken over the practice from Dr. Alison Wissman and is looking forward to continuing the long standing care and service to the Alice and outlying communities that Alice Dental Associates has provided for almost 30 years.

In 2009 he completed further studies at the Las Vegas Dental Institute in Neuromuscular dentistry and is also a graduate of POS Orthodontics(USA/fixed braces), which is one of the most comprehensive orthodontic training programs available to dentists. He is also Invisalign accredited, having been so since 2013 (to assist patients requiring invisible, clear aligners).

He has received training in dental implants, since 2019, including implant placement, bone augmentation and grafting procedures to enhance implant placement from the GIDE Dental Institute(Los Angeles) under Professor Sasha Jovanovic.

He has a love for general dentistry, having extensive experience with creating beautiful fillings, porcelain crowns and veneers, root canal treatments and extraction of nearly all wisdom teeth.

He loves working in Alice Springs as the patients are as nice as anywhere he has ever worked and was very excited to be offered the opportunity to return!

Outside of dentistry, he is a passionate musician in piano and guitar having received his Associate of Music Pianoforte Diploma/AMEB/(1985)!

When not practicing piano for hours per day, he is also heard, alongside his wife, cheering his kids on at sports on weekends.

Dentist

I graduated from the Yenepoya Dental College, in India. I passed the Australian Dental Council exam in March 2023.

I have been living and working in Melbourne for the past 10 years and have moved to Alice Springs recently, with my husband and 2 daughters.

I want to provide the best care to patients and help them achieve optimal oral health and hygiene. I practice general Dentistry.

When I am not working, I love doing dot painting and doodling.

Oral Health Therapist

Debra qualified as a Dental Therapist in Adelaide and has over 35 years of experience in providing preventive and general dental services to children under 18 years of age.

Her experience and dedication have been enriched with over ten years of part time clinical tutoring in the Bachelor of Oral Health program at Adelaide University.

Debra loves getting to know her patients and has a child-friendly approach to providing dental services. With a strong focus on prevention and positive oral health practices, she loves supporting her patients by encouraging ways they can incorporate practical and beneficial dental habits into their everyday lives.

Debra relocated to Alice Springs in 2021 with her husband, who has a Regional Manager position in the Gas Industry. She loves the outback lifestyle and its natural environment and has a keen interest in music, travel and gardening.

Practice Manager

Marco Formoso recently joined Alice Dental Associates as the new Practice Manager/Receptionist, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for enhancing patient experiences. Originally hailing from Melbourne, Marco has spent the past 11 years total in Alice Springs

With over 16 years of experience in customer-related industries, Marco is well-versed in the art of providing exceptional service. He is currently expanding his expertise by pursuing a double diploma in Practice Management and Business Leadership, a testament to his commitment to professional growth and excellence in his field. His dedication to making every patient’s visit as smooth and seamless as possible is evident in his warm, welcoming approach.

Marco is often spotted in local cafés, either engrossed in his studies and writing poetry or skateboarding a creative outlet that he deeply enjoys on his days off. Additionally, Marco is a successful entrepreneur, running a small business that hosts events and tournaments for gaming platforms. 

Dental Assistant

Viviana joined our team in 2023 after relocating to Alice Springs from her home country of Colombia, where she initially arrived in Australia in 2019. An overseas qualified dental hygienist, she has spent the past five years working as a dental assistant, bringing her valuable skills and expertise to our practice.

We are incredibly grateful to have Viviana on our team. Her cheerful and bubbly personality creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, helping patients feel welcome and comfortable during their visits. She is dedicated to providing exceptional care and ensuring that each patient’s experience is positive.



Outside of work, Viviana enjoys watching movies and exploring the beauty of Australia through travel. She embraces every opportunity to discover new places and cultures, enhancing her already vibrant spirit. Viviana is excited to continue her journey with us, making a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients.

Dental Assistant

Sara is a qualified dentist from Brazil, in 2019, she worked as a Dental Assistant here in Australia.  In 2020 she went back to Brazil to finish her degree in Dentistry, at the University of Brazil. In April 2023, Sara returned to Australia to join our team and continue her journey in healthcare.

Sara is committed to providing the best care for the patients, which, in turn, drives her to constantly expand her knowledge and skills through ongoing education. We are very happy to have her working with us.

Sara is a dedicated dental assistant who brings a unique blend of skills and passion to the dental field. She believes in the power of a warm smile and caring demeanour to make patients feel at ease and comfortable during their visits.

Beyond the dental world, she has a profound love for music, travel and spending quality time with friends and her partner.

Maria is one of the newest additions to our team, originally hailing from the Philippines. Since moving to Australia in 2015, she has dedicated the last two years to working as a dental assistant, bringing a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her role.

As an overseas qualified dentist, Maria’s background enriches our practice. Her calming presence and gentle nature create a supportive environment, helping patients feel at ease during their visits. She is deeply committed to providing exceptional care and ensuring that each patient feels welcome and valued.



Outside of work, Maria enjoys spending quality time with her children and exploring new places through travel. She is excited to contribute her skills and compassion to our team and looks forward to making a positive impact on the lives of our patients.
